If there's one thing that the Delaware Valley doesn't lack is good farmer's markets. However, I feel that each has their own pull for me. For Booth's Corner, it's the little restaurants, deli counters and the eclectic shops inside that I like. This particular farmer's market is only 15 minutes from where I am which make this very convenient on the weekends for me. Unlike the New Castle Farmer's Market, this one is all indoors with no outdoor flea market, but it does have multiple levels and a whole variety of different stores. In general if there's one thing that I wish was a little better was the width of the halls inside. They are a little tight and since it's pretty busy when they are open can be a little claustrophobic for those wary of that, especially when the stalls are right up against it. The other note, while not necessarily a disadvantage depending on where you're coming from, is that it isn't my favorite farmer's market for produce when it comes to value as their stall charges a bit more than either New Castle or Newark. It's great quality of produce but you will pay a bit more for that quality. The deli and meat stands are awesome with a nice variety of meats and reasonable prices. There's also a stall that sells slow cooker-ready meals that are great for parties or meals with little preparation as well as a "discount" store that sells general wares. There's even a couple stands that sell antiques (or "vintiques" depending on what they have). Might become a go-to for my deli meats and I want to try some of their meats. What will make me a repeat customer though are the little restaurants inside. Massimo's (which I reviewed separately) has great value as a place to grab a slice of pizza. There's a taco stand as well as a Dutch Country restaurant. They even have a stall for the 4th Street Cookies so you don't have to go all the way to Reading Terminal for them - try them, they do not disappoint. They also have an awesome water ice/treat stand as well with lots of sweet treats and Reading Draft sodas. As I said, I will definitely plan on coming here again and again, likely as a place to try some interesting food and maybe find a good deal on some "vintiques" that pique my interest.
